I am running a coaching centre, and collected a fees of Rs 1500000/- in the current financial year.whether service tax applicable on me or not?

You will have to pay service tax on Rs 500000/- ie over and above Rs 1000000/- and from next year onwards you will have to pay service tax on the total fees collected by you.
